Jordan Merrick, Director of the FSU Challenge and Camp Flastacowo ![]() Jordan Merrick, FSU Challenge and Camp Director.
Jordan traveled full-circle when he was accepted as the Director of FSU Challenge in July of 2004. He received both his Bachelor's and Master's Degrees from FSU and the Recreation and Leisure Services Administration Program. In-between graduation and his return to FSU, Jordan worked for Project Adventure, Inc. (PA) building, repairing, inspecting and performing site evaluations for Challenge Courses all over the United States. He also got a chance to work with the Research and Development Team for PA when he invented a High Element, "Jordan's Crossing," which was made available to customers in 2005. Jordan also serves as Director for Camp Flastacowo and is the staff advisor for the FSU Rock Climbing Club. When he's not climbing trees, you will probably find Jordan playing his 1966 Martin D-28 guitar. "Bluegrass music will save the World." |

Kellie joined the Florida State University Campus Recreation team in May of 2010. She received her Bachelor's degrees (B.A. History, B.A. Spanish) from the University of Georgia in 2008 and her Master's degree (M.S. Higher Education) from Florida State University in 2010. While working on her Master's, Kellie served as a graduate assistant in the Center for Leadership and Civic Education at FSU and mentored FSU student-athletes. Kellie is a former college rower, an avid hiker and SCUBA diver, enjoys team sports, and looks for any opportunity to cheer on her hometown team, the Atlanta Braves. |

Jessica joined the Florida State University Campus Recreation professional staff in July of 2011. She received her Bachelor's degree (B.A. Exercise Science, minor Business) from Auburn University in 2008 and her Master’s degree in Sport Administration from Belmont University in 2011. While working on her degrees, Jessica worked in the athletic department at Auburn and also served as the facilities graduate assistant for Fitness and Recreation at Belmont. In her spare time, Jessica enjoys going to the beach and playing with Baxter, her 4 year-old Jack Russell. Jessica is a lifelong Auburn fan (War Eagle!) but is adjusting to wearing the garnet and gold. |
