SGA REC BOARD QUALIFICATIONS
Florida State University Campus Recreation is seeking qualified applicants for the Recreation Board, a division of the FSU Student Government Association. FSU students interested in representing student concerns and supporting quality recreational programs and facilities are invited to apply to run for election to the Recreation board.

Recreation Board Eligibility Requirements
1. Candidates should provide evidence of a broad knowledge of Campus Recreation and its programs, facilities and offerings. Experiences such as membership or leadership in sport clubs, regular participation and/or leadership in Intramurals, Outdoor Pursuits, Aquatics activities, the FSU Reservation, Fitness or use of the Leach Center, shall be considered as evidence of special interest and knowledge of Campus Recreation. Service on university committees or boards, campus or community volunteer organizations, or in clubs and recreational teams shall also be considered related experience appropriate for Recreation Board eligibility.

2. The Recreation Board Selection Committee will consider and assess candidates’ ability to reflect and represent the diversity of the student body at large, the FSU community, and the wide range of students served through Campus Recreation.

3. Candidates must maintain a cumulative 2.5 or higher GPA in their curriculum of study and be enrolled in a degree seeking program. Both graduate as well as undergraduate students will be considered for Recreation Board positions.

4. All candidates must be enrolled in FSU during the summer term and in residence in Tallahassee as critical Board work will take place throughout the summer semester.

5. The Recreation Board Selection Committee will consider and assess candidates’ ability to commit the time, effort and involvement necessary to fulfill Recreation Board responsibilities, as well as evidence of personal commitment to their involvement in the University experience.
