![]() Chris Morris, Campus Rec Director.
850-644-0553 Chris is incredibly excited to have joined FSU as the Director of Campus Recreation, following in the footsteps of the Alicia Crew who retired in 2011. Chris has previously served as the Director of University Recreation at North Carolina State University, and prior to that, he served as the Associate Director of Campus Recreation at Ohio University (Athens, OH). Chris is a native of New York City and received his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Alabama (Tuscaloosa, AL) and his Master's Degree from Sam Houston State University (Huntsville, TX). Chris has previously served as adjunct faculty for the College of Business and College of Education, teaching mainly management and administration classes. Additionally, has presented at dozens of conferences at the national, regional and state levels, primarily on the topic of leadership and student development. He has been honored by the National Intramural Recreational Sports Association for outstanding service to the association in the realm of Extramural Sports and has also been honored with the Horace Moody Award (for contributions in student development). Additionally, Chris has served on the faculty of NIRSA’s School of Recreational Sports Management. Chris is an avid cyclist and is very active with the Texas Lone Star MS150 charity cycling event, as both a participant and a top fundraiser. |
