CAMP FLASTACOWO INFORMATION

Camp Flastacowo is located at the FSU Reservation, a 73 acre waterfront facility located on beautiful Lake Bradford. The camp is open to boys and girls ages 8 - 13. Campers must have reached their 8th birthday by the first day of the camp session for which they are registered. Campers must also not have reached their 14th birthday by the first day of the session for which they are registered. The camp offers nine one-week sessions operating Monday - Friday from 8:30 am - 4:00 pm. Campers may sign up for as many sessions as desired.

Programs and Activities
Campers will participate in activities that include: water safety, sailing, canoeing, kayaking, arts and crafts, swimming, challenge courses, team building, and outdoor education.

Typical Daily Schedule
7:30-8:30 am - Drop-off in Main Parking Lot
8:30-9:00 am - Morning Session - All Campers
9:00-10:00 am - First Rotation of Activities
10:00-11:00 am - Second Rotation
11:00-12:00 pm - Third Rotation
12:00-12:30 pm - Lunch
12:30-1:30 pm - Fourth Rotation
1:30-2:30 pm - Fifth Rotation
2:30-3:30 pm - Sixth Rotation
3:30-4:00 pm - Clean-up
4:00-6:00 pm - Free Swim & Camper Pick-up

Staff
Camp Flastacowo recreation leaders are college students carefully screened and selected by FSU's Campus Recreation Department. Camp staff are certified in CPR and First Aid. Each staff member has completed an intensive 40-hour camp inservice and have passed a background check. Certified lifeguards and other support staff supervise all waterfront activities.

Registration Forms
Get a head start on filling out the necessary forms to get your child registered for camp this summer. 

Download the Camper Registration Form along with the Parental Informed Consent Document.  The consent document must be signed and notarized if mailing in your registration.  Mailed registration cannot be accepted without this notarized document. 

When to Register
General registration for all campers begins Monday, March 24th. You can register in person here at the Administrative Office at the FSU Reservation (Directions), Monday-Friday 9am-5pm or by mail.  We will accept mailed registrations until May 1st.  Registrations postmarked after May 1 will not be accepted.  After May 1, you must register in person, here at the FSU Reservation.  Notary not needed for onsite registration of your camper. 

Registration Fees
One Camper: $175.00 (includes tax)
Additional Camper: $165.00 (includes tax), per same session
This discount is limited to family members residing in the same household throughout the year.
We accept only exact cash or checks, made payable to the FSU Reservation with your child's name in the memo section.

An $100.00 deposit is required to reserve each session. The remaining $75.00 must be paid by mail no later than May 16th for sessions 1-4 or June 13th for sessions 5-9. The $100.00 deposit is nonrefundable for cancellations. Full refunds will be given only for medical reasons documented by a physician. Documentation must be submitted by August 8, 2008.

There will be a $25 administrative fee for changing camp sessions.
Full payment is required for camp registrations made after May 19th for session 1-4 and June 16th for sessions 5-9.
