Our Mission
The mission of Campus Recreation is to provide opportunities and experiences that contribute to the health, well-being, development, and education of students of the Florida State University through involvement in recreational activity. In adhering to this responsibility, the department is charged with providing extensive access to a broad range of recreational activities and services which reflect the varied leisure needs of the University community.

Recreational facilities exist to support and supplement the University mission of maintaining a comprehensive educational program for students, recognizing the need for the development of the whole person. Through Campus Recreation, students have the opportunity to develop lifetime skills, to initiate diverse interpersonal relationships through participation in structured and unstructured leisure pursuits, and to develop leadership abilities in both competitive and cooperative endeavors.
