FREE Trips for FSU Students!
Trips denoted as FREE are free for the first 8 registered students only. If Outdoor Pursuits decides to add an additional vehicle to accommodate more participants, there will be a $10 additional vehicle fee per student on the second van to defer extra gas and staff costs. Non-students will pay the same rate for a second vehicle. If a student who receives a "free" spot on a trip must cancel his/her registration, s/he must do so at least 48 hours before trip departure to avoid being assessed a $10 cancellation fee.

FSU is hosting this low-mileage backpacking format course designed to enhance your understanding of Leave No Trace (LNT) practices and increase your level of expertise in teaching LNT skills. Upon completion, participants will be registered as LNT Trainers with national LNT Center for Outdoor Ethics and will receive a certificate of course completion. |

Your pet must be leashed, spayed/neutered, and have the appropriate vaccinations (must be able to provide record of vaccinations if requested). |

Bruce Wayne isn't the only one that hangs out underground. Morill’s Cave (commonly known as Worley’s Cave) offers over 37,000 feet of mapped passages on two levels. The 8—10 miles of navigable passages boast beautiful cave formations. Claustrophobic? Don’t worry, the cave is also known for its large rooms, some 75 feet wide and 250 feet long. |

At 5,506 feet, Beech Mountain, NC is Eastern America's highest town. We’ll crash in cozy condos (yep, that’s right, condos!) and spend all day Saturday on the slopes. Whether you’re a skier or a snowboarder (or never tried either), we’ve got you covered. The rate includes all your gear, a full day lift ticket, lodging, and transportation. |

In addition to rafting one of the most challenging rivers in the Southeast, we’ll spend a few hours in Athens, GA so that participants can see the “Classic City”, home of famous bands (REM, B52’s, etc.), music venues, festivals, and more! A great mix of adventure and culture, worthy of being our feature trip this semester. |

Hike through Torreya state park, and experience the 100’ bluffs overlooking the Apalachicola River that many call one of the most scenic view in all of Florida. A seven mile loop hiking trail meanders through the park, allowing the hikers to see all of the regions stunning natural features. |

ONLINE - Outdoor Pursuits now has an online registration form. You can fill it out and email it to outdoorpursuits@admin.fsu.edu. PLEASE NOTE: when registering online, your spot will not be confirmed until we receive confirmation of payment. See Payment Options for information on how to pay for trips.

ONLINE - You can either mail a check made payable to Florida State University to: Outdoor Pursuits c/o Kellie Gerbers, 3226 Flastacowo Road, Tallahassee, FL 32310 OR call 850-644-2449 to process credit card payment over the phone during regular office hours. Payment must be postmarked at least two weeks prior to trip departure to be accepted.
| TRIP POLICIES AND OTHER INFORMATION |
ALL OP PROGRAMS ARE DRUG AND ALCOHOL FREE. Alcohol and drugs can make the backcountry into a very dangerous place. You put not only yourself at risk, but also other trip participants and leaders. Participants will be asked to sign a Drug and Alcohol Policy Consent Form upon trip registration.
Pre-Trip Meetings
For most trips, we hold a short pre-trip meeting to cover everything that will happen with your program. It gives us a chance to meet the group, go over expectations, and gives you the opportunity to get involved with some of the planning and ask questions. You are strongly encouraged to attend the pre-trip meeting. Meal planning, equipment fitting and other timely information is covered, so don't miss it.
Cancellation and Cancellation Fee
There are NO refunds unless the trip is cancelled by Outdoor Pursuits or we can sell your spot. Please note: There is a cancellation fee of 20% to cover paperwork costs should you cancel your spot, even if it is filled. If a student who receives a "free" spot on a trip must cancel his/her registration, s/he must do so at least 48 hours before trip departure to avoid being assessed a $10 cancellation fee.
Disclaimer
All staff is trained in First Aid and CPR. The cost of any rescue or treatment beyond first aid will be borne by the participant. Outdoor Pursuits is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal equipment.
