Number of Teams per Playing Time
Due to field space, leagues that start on the hour (:00) are 6-team leagues. Leagues that start on the half-hour (:30) are 4-team leagues.

Off Dates
There are no games scheduled March 4th -17th for Spring Break and St. Patrick's Day.
% Sunday teams may play on Easter Sunday (April 4th) if needed for the playoffs.
Additional leagues will be added, likely Sunday afternoons, at the softball captains meeting once demand is determined. Wait list teams will be slotted into these newly added leagues at the captains meeting based on the registration order of the wait list.

Remember the Bat Rule
Our bat restrictions remain in effect in 2010 for our recreational leagues.
Men's D-I, men's D-IAA, co-rec D-I, fraternity, sorority, and women's leagues will follow standard NIRSA / ASA bat requirments. Men's D-II, men's D-III, and co-rec D-II league players will be required to use bats supplied by FSU Intramural Sports, no team-provided bats may be used in these leagues.
In all co-rec league play, a 12" softball (traditional men's size) will be used for all batters. The 11" softball (traditional women's size) will still be used in women's and sorority league play.

Division Structure
Division I: Where the talent is. D-I is for our advanced skill level teams. Teams in this league will compete for the All-Campus Championship.
Division I-AA: Some talent, but not all stars. D-IAA is for our intermediate skill level teams with a range of very talented and moderately talented players. Separate playoff tournament.
Division II: Not exactly beginners, but for teams with a mix of a few skilled players and some scrubs. More interested in playing the game and perhaps winning a few than challenging for an all-campus title. Separate playoff tournament.
Division III: No scholarships, not much talent. The "Just for Fun" D-III league is for teams interested in having a good time and not interested (so much) in actually winning. Separate playoff tournament.
The IM Sports staff reserves the right to promote or demote teams among divisions as necessary to enhance the competitiveness of the division and/or the enjoyment of the other teams in the division.
