Additional Rules
Team Entries Maximum of 2 participants per weight class per organization
Weigh-In All participants must present their FSUCard when they weigh-in.
Participants will weigh-in wearing regular athletic attire (shirt and shorts) for 1st weigh-in (shoes not required).
Participants will weigh-in wearing uniform for meet / regular athletic attire (shirt and shorts) for 2nd weigh-in (shoes not required).
Participants in the Unlimited weight class MUST attend the first weigh-in.
Each participant will receive only 1 opportunity to weigh-in during each weigh-in session.
Match Postponement No match will be postponed for any reason.
Brackets will be available online by Wednesday, September 27th and posted in the IM Sports Office.
Brackets will give the contestant an estimation of when they are scheduled to wrestle.
Each contestant will be given 2 calls to report to the mat. If they fail to report, a forfeit will be recorded.
Each contestant must present his FSUCard to check-in.
Bout Duration Each bout shall consist of three periods, with each period 1 1/2 minutes long.
No rest or time-outs are permitted during or between periods.
A three-minute time period will be honored only in the case of injury or illness.
Points Matches may be won by fall, decision, default, disqualification, or forfeit.
Team points are awarded in each weight class as follows:
2 points for a victory (not including championship match).
2 points are awarded for a bye, when the wrestler receiving the bye wins his next match.
2 additional points for a win by fall, default, forfeit, or disqualification.
1 additional point for each superior decision (12 points or more).
1/2 additional point for each major decision (8 to 11 points).
In each weight class, the top 4 wrestlers are also awarded the following team points:
1st place - 14 points
2nd place - 10 points
3rd & 4th places - 5.5 points
Spectators All spectators must remain outside the lined area surrounding the officials' and contestant area.
Each wrestler may have ONE coach in the area during the match.
Officials Officials are certified by FHSAA.
National Federation (High School) rules will be followed.
At NO time may a wrester or coach approach the officials.
All decisions by the officials are final.
