| ONLINE CAPTAINS EXAM DETAILS |
How to Qualify
- You must be the captain or alternate captain for your team as registered in the Intramural Sports Online Team Registration application.
- Note you may only represent 2 teams per sport (such as a women's team and co-rec team) with the online exam.
How to Take the Test
- Visit Blackboard (campus.fsu.edu) and enroll in the "Intramural Sports Team Captains 2010-11" organization via the organization tab.
See our Organization Enrollment Instructions for screen shots of what to do. You only have to enroll once in our organization (good all year).
- Once you are part of the organization, you'll see "Intramural Sports Team Captains 2010-11" under the "My Organizations" heading for quick access.
- Once on the organization home page, read over the Announcements for a link or click on the "Captain's Exams" link in the lefthand sidebar. Follow the instructions from there.
Plan Time to Take the Test
- A captains exam takes about 10-15 minutes to complete, if you're ready.
- You'll need your team information, such as team name, contact info, playing days & times, and league / division choices when you take the exam.
- Get it done on time! The captains exams are typically available beginning on registration day and ending at 8:00 am on the day after the registration period ends.
Pass the Test
- You've gotta PASS the test too. With a 90% or better.
- Your score is shown at completion. If you don't pass, you can retake the test until you do. A handful of questions change each time, though.
- Utilize all the resources available here at the IM web site to assist you while you take the test. Watch the videos, review the rules summaries, browse through the principles and sportsmanship information. We want you to learn the material. Reference our web site as much as you need to.
Then What
- Once you've passed the test, simply wait for your team to appear on the game schedule. If you need confirmation, you're welcome to email us and we'll check our records. Of course, if a problem occurs, email us about that too.
Wait List Teams
- Wait list team captains must also complete the exam prior to the deadline. Those wait list teams that complete the exam will be ordered by registration time (not exam completion time) for our Wait List Team Placement Session. The Wait List Team Placement Session is an in-person meeting scheduled the day after the registration period ends at which time wait list teams select when they want to play in the league based on the openings in the schedule (created by registered teams that fail to successfully complete the exam) and new leagues that are opened based on demand. Learn more on our Wait List Information page.
