Volleyball Enters Final Week, Playoffs Start Tuesday
The volleyball regular season is entering its final week. Playoffs begin Tuesday, and the brackets have been posted online. Please check out the volleyball playoff brackets to find out when your team plays. Please check the schedule carefully, as some teams have doubleheaders scheduled. Also, please remember the regular season doesn't conclude until Tuesday, so if you typically play on Sunday or Monday nights, you've still got regular season games remaining.

Flag Football Season Continues, Playoff Draw Wednesday
The IM flag football season is in progress nightly at the Rec SportsPlex East (map & directions). Check your regular season flag football team schedule to see your remaining games. This Wednesday, October 8th, are the playoff draw meetings for independent league teams. Teams have the opportunity to select their road to the championship including playing days and times at these meetings only. Men's D-I captains meet at 3:00, D-IAA at 3:15, D-II at 3:30, D-III at 3:45, co-rec D-I at 4:00, D-II at 4:15, and women's at 4:30. All meetings in 214 Student Services Building (above the Park Avenue Diner). Teams without a representative in attendance are placed into the bracket at random. New to the sport all together? Read over our new online flag football rules review with photos and video of plays to help you learn the sport.

Nominate Players for the 2008 IM Flag Football All-Stars
The nomination process has begun for the 2008 IM flag football all-star teams. Pick who you think are the most talented players from any men's division I, fraternity, sorority, women's, or co-rec division I team. Nominate flag football all-stars now through October 16th. Then, team captains will vote on the nominees with teams selected the week of October 19-23. The men's team will face the fraternity all-stars, sorority vs women's, and two co-rec squads will play on Wednesday, November 5th at the Rec SportsPlex.

#1s Remain the Same in Week 3 Flag Football Polls
Not much change in the week 3 flag football polls with DyNasty (men's), Get Off Our D (women's), and Mi Christian (co-rec) atop the polls, released Friday. Check out all the flag football polls, now online, for your team. Polls are released weekly, typically Friday evenings, and are open to men's D-I, women's, and co-rec D-I teams along with fraternity and sorority teams.

Team Tennis, Team Bowling Schedules Available

Only your cell phone's standard text messaging rates apply. So if you have messages to spare, sign up today. Visit our IM Sports text messaging page for details. You can even sign up from your phone. No accounts or web access needed to get started!

Don't Get Caught with an Ineligible Player on Your Team
While most participants are automatically eligible for participation in Intramural Sports based on payment of appropriate fees to the University with tuition, nearly 40 potential IM participants are required to provide additional information to the Intramural Sports administrative staff prior to being declared eligible to play in any Intramural Sports league or event. Does the IM staff need more information from you or a potential teammate prior to playing? Scan our collection of ineligible players to be sure. Teams that play with an ineligible player are subject to immediate dismissal from league or tournament play.

The RainLine is updated, when necessary, by 5:00 p.m. on game days and throughout the evening when the rain arrives after play has begun. Or, at the Main Campus Fields, take a look at the flag. The MCF is open when the green flag is flying from the flagpole near the building. When the red flag is up, the fields are closed and all recreation is prohibited (practice, etc.). At the Rec SportsPlex, the gates will be closed and locked when the facility is closed due to wet weather. Persons using either facility when closed are subject to a citation from the FSU Police.
