Fraternity teams are divided into two divisions, Garnet and Gold, based on fraternity size. Teams in these divisions compete independent of each other throughout the regular season and playoffs. Teams receive points based on their finish in over 20 sports throughout the academic year. Each sport is scored separately with certain sports worth more points than others. See the Greek Annual Championship Information page for additional details. In addition, a Garnet-Gold championship game is played to determine the overall Greek champion in each sport; however, this title game does not affect the points standings of each competing fraternity. Sorority teams compete in a single division in much the same manner. Updated points standings are available in the Intramural Sports Office throughout the year and online at the Florida State IM Sports Web Site. Fraternity and sorority team captains meetings are held semi-monthly in Tully Gym to review IM rules and inform groups of upcoming scoring sports and events. |
