Grab Your Racquet and Head Out to the Hard Courts
Opened in early 1990s, Donald Louchs Courts at the
Scott Speicher Tennis Center is home to Intramural tennis competition
in addition to Seminole and Lady Seminole varsity tennis play. The
multi-million dollar facility includes 12 courts, varsity tennis
offices, and lockerroom facilities. Chairback seating for over 1,000
spectators runs down the center of the facility and overlooks each
set of 6 courts.
Getting to Speicher Tennis Center
From the center of campus (Union), take Woodward
Avenue south to Wildwood Avenue and turn right. Follow Wildwood
past the Maintenance Complex to Varsity Drive, turn right. Varsity
Drive runs into the Leach Center and bears right into a parking
area adjacent to Speicher Tennis Center. Visitor metered parking
is available near the Leach Center. From the stadium, turn northward
off of Pensacola Street onto Chieftan Way. Follow Chieftan past
the baseball stadium and circus complex. The Leach Center will be
first building on the right, Tully Gym the second on the right,
followed by Speicher Tennis Center. Student parking is available
on the left side of Chieftan Way adjacent to the Soccer/Softball
Complex and nightly after 4:30 p.m. just past Speicher on the right.
