KIDS LESSONS: OVERVIEW & SCHEDULE

The Aquatics Department offers numerous classes each year for both children and adults to learn to swim. Classes for kids are offered during the summer semester only. Certified American Red Cross instructors teach all classes. Enrollment for classes is limited in order to maintain quality instruction and an optimal teaching environment. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Lessons are only available to FSU students or Leach Center members and their children. Please call 850-644-4531 for details.

The Summer 2008 swim lessons schedule is now available. Registration begins Tuesday, April 1, 2008.

Location
All classes will be held at the Leach Center Pool.

Summer Sessions
Three sessions are available. Each session is three weeks in length. All classes meet Monday through Thursday each week. Fridays are used for make-up classes (holidays or inclement weather). Each session consists of 12 classes that will run approximately 30-60 minutes each.
Session 1: June 2 - June 19. Registration Deadline: May 29, 2008. - ALL LEVELS FOR SESSION ONE ARE CURRENTLY FULL
Session 2: June 30 - July 17. Registration Deadline: June 26, 2008.
Session 3: July 21 - August 7. Registration Deadline: July 17, 2008.


Class Times
6:30 - 7:00 pm: Parent and Child Aquatics (Child must be at least 6 months old)
6:30 - 7:15 pm: Levels 1 & 2
6:30 - 7:30 pm: Levels 3, 4, 5, & 6
7:30 - 8:30 pm: Adults (Adults meet twice a week. Please indicate session A (Monday's and Wednesday's) or session B (Tuesday's and Thursday's)

Class Fee
FSU Students: $40/child
Leach Center Members: $50/child.
A late fee of $20.00 will be charged for any registrations after the posted deadline.

Registration
Registration begins April 2! Download and print out our 2007 registration form (Microsoft Word document or Adobe Acrobat file) and mail it to us (FSU Campus Recreation / Aquatics, 210 Leach Center, Tallahassee, FL 32306-4290) or stop by FSU Aquatics Director's Office located on the Pool Deck at the Leach Center on weekdays. Sorry, no phone registration is available. Make checks/money orders payable to FSU.

Refunds & Cancellations
No refunds will be processed except in the event of class cancellation, or injury or illness that prohibits participation. Refunds must be requested during the session the child is enrolled.
