CLASS DESCRIPTIONS & FALL 2006 SCHEDULE

Aquatics Classes are open to FSU students and Leach Center members only. Class registration takes place in the Aquatics Director's Office (off the Pool Deck at the Leach Center). Class registration is continuous. Join one today!

Kids Lessons
Kids lessons will return in May 2007. Visit our kid's lessons page for a complete overview of the sessions we'll offer this May, June, and July.

Adult Swim Lessons
Three sessions will be offered for the beginner & intermediate adult who wants to learn how to swim. By taking this course you will learn water safety skills and also be introduced to the 5 basic swim strokes. The skills learned in this course will assist you in enjoying swimming as a recreational and fitness activity as well as learning to be safe around the water.
Lessons occur between 7:30 and 8:30 pm on two days each week.
Session 1A: September 11-27, Mondays & Wednesdays (7-8 pm)
Session 1B: September 12-28, Tuesdays & Thursdays (7-8 pm)
Session 1 Registration Deadline: September 4.
Session 2A: October 9-25, Mondays & Wednesdays (7-8 pm)
Session 2B: October 10-26, Tuesdays & Thursdays (7-8 pm)
Session 2 Registration Deadline: October 2.
Session 3A: October 30 - November 8, Mondays & Wednesdays (7-8 pm)
Session 3B: October 31 - November 9, Tuesdays & Thursdays (7-8 pm)
Session 3 Registration Deadline: October 23.
Students: $30/session, Other Leach Center Members: $40/session.

Water Aerobics
Enjoy less impact on the joints, perfect for those just beginning an exercise program or those who regularly exercise. Move at your own pace as the instructor provides a variety of movements. Water exercises vary from deep to shallow water. Circuit training and water kickboxing are also available. Classes are offered throughout the semester. Students and Leach Center members can drop in anytime, no registration required. Water Aerobics will give you a complete aerobic & resistance training workout in the water!
Monday thru Thursday afternoons from 5:30 until 6:30 pm.

Download and print out our registration form (Microsoft Word document or Adobe Acrobat file) and mail it to us (FSU Campus Recreation / Aquatics, 210 Leach Center, Tallahassee, FL 32306-4290) or stop by FSU Aquatics Director's Office located on the Pool Deck at the Leach Center weekdays. Sorry, no phone registration is available. Make checks/money orders payable to FSU.
