Aquatics classes are open to FSU students and Leach Center members only. Class registration takes place in the Aquatics Director's Office (off the Pool Deck at the Leach Center). Class registration is continuous. Join one today!
Kids Lessons
Visit our kid's lessons page for a complete overview of the children's swim lesson program. Lessons for children are only offered during summer months. Class registration begins April 3rd, 2012.
Adult Swim Lessons
Three sessions will be offered for the beginner & intermediate adult who wants to learn how to swim. By taking this course you will learn water safety skills and also be introduced to the 5 basic swim strokes. The skills learned in this course will assist you in enjoying swimming as a recreational and fitness activity as well as learning to be safe around the water.
Lessons occur between 7:00 and 8:00 pm on two days each week.
Adult Swim Session 1A: Jan 23 - Feb 8, Mondays & Wednesdays

Stroke Development Courses
This course is for adults that are at an intermediate swimming level, especially those looking to improve strokes in order to use swimming for a fitness routine or to improve triathlon times. During the course swimmers will develop a more efficient and effective stroke and will experiment with all four competitive strokes of swimming. Fall courses will be Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00-7:00PM. See below for registration information.

FREE AQUATIC CLASSES:
Aqua Tone
Enjoy less impact on the joints, perfect for those just beginning an exercise program or those who regularly exercise. Move at your own pace as the instructor provides a variety of movements. Water exercises vary from deep to shallow water. Classes are offered throughout the semester. Students and Leach Center members can drop in anytime, no registration required. Water Aerobics will give you a complete aerobic & resistance training workout in the water! Please see the group exercise schedule on the fitness page for a list of days & times.

FIT Swim
Looking to increase your swimming endurance in a fun and non-competitive atmosphere? If so, this class is for you! Certified instructors guide participants through various swim sets and dry land exercises. Past competitive swimming experience is not required, but participants should be comfortable enough in the water to complete a continuous 250 yard swim. Classes are offered throughout the semester. Students and Leach Center members can drop in anytime, no registration required. Please see the group exercise schedule on the fitness page for a list of days & times.

Register Now! Download and print out our registration form (Microsoft Word document or Adobe Acrobat file) and mail it to us (FSU Campus Recreation / Aquatics, 210 Leach Center, Tallahassee, FL 32306-4290) or stop by FSU Aquatics Director's Office located on the Pool Deck at the Leach Center weekdays. Sorry, no phone registration is available. Make checks / money orders payable to FSU.
