Student Representative Bios
Mr. Su Hawn Chung
Mr. Chung comes to FSU with over 300 hours of volunteer service while in high school and a background in sports playing basketball, wrestling and running cross country. He is the Sports Editor of “The Yeti” an alternative newspaper for students at FSU and has donated his time to Habitat for Humanity, Invisible Children and ABC. Su Hawn has become involved with SGA, ASU, Poetic Lyricism and is the International Project manager at S.I.F.E. He has served on the Book Committee (one book one campus) and IBA. This is Su Hawn’s first term on the Recreation Board.

Mr. Terrence Decker
Mr. Decker was captain of his high school swim team and brings swimming, surfing, track, baseball and other sports experience to his first term on the Rec Board. He is the 2010 Class Pledge President of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity and a member of the STATE Party of SGA. He has joined the Swim and Surf Sport Clubs at FSU and is a University Lutheran and SAA. He does volunteer work at Gretchen Everhart School and has been a volunteer at Bay Pines V.A. Medical Center. Terrence is a Gold Key Torch Night Recipient.

Ms. Tricia Hoyt

Ms. Hoyt is a member of the Golden Key International Honors Society and a member of the Student Alumni Association. She is a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority and has participated in fundraising efforts for Light the Night as well as the FSU Dance Marathon. In her work with SGA Tricia has worked on The Big Event as a member of the STATE party in SGA and she is a first term member of the Recreation Board.

Mr. Colby McEldowney
Mr. McEldowney played basketball in high school and coached the girls volleyball team. He plays beach volleyball and court volleyball for his fraternity, Delta Tau Delta, where he is the past Intramural Chair for the Delts. In addition he is the upcoming social chair and sorority relations liaison for his fraternity. He is a member of the STATE Party in SGA and also a member of Red Cross. Colby is working while in school and enjoys meeting new people. This is his first term on the Rec Board.

Mr. Joseph Spoerl
Mr. Spoerl plays Intramural volleyball and soccer and loves to play tennis and run in his free time. He is a member of the Social Committee of the Honors Student Association and the STATE Party of SGA. He has worked with and is a member of the Peace Jam RSO and volunteers as an elementary mentor for disabled children. This is Joe’s first term on the Rec Board.

Ms. Jennifer Utroska
Ms. Utroska is a Sport Management major and has already completed a minor in Communications. She has been active for the past three years in the Intramural Program, playing in six different activities and currently serves as Kappa Delta’s IM Chairperson. Currently in the process of applying for internships with various professional sports teams and facilities, Jennifer is excited to be able to serve her first term on the Campus Recreation Board. She intends to become an Athletic Director for a university and along the way will continue on to graduate school as a graduate assistantship.

Mr. Ben Wenger
Mr. Wenger is Treasurer of the Rotary House of the Southern Scholarship Foundation, a group leader for the Baptist collegiate Ministry, and has been the Treasurer for the Portuguese Language Club. He is fluent in Portuguese and Brazilian culture, speaks Spanish and has been a translator for Amazon Vision Ministries. He has been self-employed as an instructor of music theory and guitar. In his spare time Ben both plays Intramurals and is employed as an FSU Intramural Official and Referee. He was a member of the SGA Freshman Leadership Council and a recipient of the SGA Student Service Award. A man of many skills, Ben is an Officially Certified Drafter of the American Design Drafting Association and proficient in AutoCAD, Arc GIS and other computer programs. This is his first term on the Rec Board.

Mr. Sara White
Ms. White stays busy as a University Ambassador at the FSU Visitor's Center. She serves her Sport Club, Women's Soccer, on the Executive Board. She also sits on the Union Board Long Range Planning Committee. Sara volunteers her time as a Garnet and Gold Guide working directly for recruiting with Athletics and is also the Marketing Chair for Seminole Student Boosters. She has won two Rec Championships while playing Intramural sports at FSU. Sara is serving her first term on the Recreation Board.

Faculty / Staff Representative Bios

Dr. Jeff Garis
Dr. Jeff W. Garis has served as Director of the Florida State University (FSU) Career Center since 1992. He is also an affiliate member of the FSU Counseling Psychology and Educational Leadership programs. Dr. Garis holds a B.S., M. Ed. and a Ph. D. from Penn State University and worked at Penn State for over 20 years. He’s an avid runner, author and licensed psychologist.

Ms. Rebekah Dorn
Ms. Rebekah Dorn serves as the Training and Development Coordinator for the Division of Student Affairs at FSU. Her job includes providing professional development opportunities and recognition for employees and students within the Division. She has a B. A. in Communications and Mass Media and an M.S. in Education and Higher Education. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Education, Instructional Systems and is researching how team member’s personalities impact the problem solving process. Her recreational interests include outdoor water sports, reading and spending time with family.

Dr. Cecile Reynaud
Dr. Cecile Reynaud is a faculty member in Sport Management with an interest in coaching, athletic administration, recruiting, facilities, and event management. She was the Head Volleyball Coach for 26 years at FSU and has experience with numerous sport governing bodies and international competition. She is an author, television analyst, national speaker and clinician. She received her B.S. from Southwest Missouri State University and an M.S. and Ph.D. from FSU. Dr. Reynaud has served as a Board Member and President of the Board for the Refuge House in Tallahassee as well as serving on the Board of Directors for the American Volleyball Coaches Association.

Dr. William Woodyard
Dr. William Woodyard is the Chairman of the College of Business faculty and has served as general counsel for the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation and trial counsel to FSU and a number of State of Florida Departments. He's also worked as Legislative Counsel and as an Assistant State Attorney. He works with many student organizations and currently serves as an advisor to FSU Garnet and Gold Key Leadership Honorary. For his years of service and devotion to students Bill was awarded the Oglesby Award for 2006. He received a B.A. from Marshall University and his J.D. from West Virginia University.
