Planning Your Times
Note that all leagues are designated for 1-hour time periods. Therefore the Monday 8:30 Co-Rec D-II league will finish at 9:30. Team members could play on a Men's II team at 9:30 but NOT a 9:00 Men's I league due to the time overlap.
Playing Volleyball and Flag Football?
Note that due to travel times between Tully Gym (where volleyball is played) and the Rec SportsPlex (where flag football is played), your team will NOT be able to register for volleyball and flag football in back-to-back hours. Therefore, do NOT attempt to play volleyball at 7:00 and flag football at 8:00. We will NOT wait for your team to arrive at the Rec SportsPlex. You should plan to play flag football no earlier than 8:30 in that example.
Registration Information
Team registration is available exclusively online via campus.fsu.edu (Secure Apps, Intramural Sports). Team name, captain's name, phone number, email address and league/day/time preference is needed to complete the process. Teams should have mulitple day & time options available for their team in the event that their primary choice is full. Only one team member is required to register a team. All other team members will officially join the team when they sign-in at the game site for their first game.
Division Structure
Division I: Where the talent is. D-I is for our advanced skill level teams. Teams in this league will compete for the All-Campus Championship.
Division I-AA: Some talent, but not all stars. D-IAA is for our intermediate skill level teams with a range of very talented and moderately talented players. Separate playoff tournament.
Division II: Not exactly beginners, but for teams with a mix of a few skilled players and some scrubs. More interested in playing the game and perhaps winning a few than challenging for an all-campus title. Separate playoff tournament.
Division III: No scholarships, not much talent. The "Just for Fun" D-III league is for teams interested in having a good time and not interested (so much) in actually winning. Separate postseason structure.
T-shirts are awarded to the champions of divisions I, I-AA, II and III. But don't just sign-up in the lower divisions to win the shirt... The IM Sports staff reserves the right to promote or demote teams among divisions as necessary to enhance the competitiveness of the division and/or the enjoyment of the other teams in the division.
League Descriptions
Co-Rec: Males and females on the same team. 8-on-8 play with 4 males & 4 females on the field for each team. Restrictions on male running plays and male-to-male passes. See the co-rec flag football rules for details.
